Dr. Trengove will describe the Federal Government-funded Metabolomics Australia Network.  He will outline the research undertaken in the Separation Science and Metabolomics Laboratory and this will be presented in relation to Murdoch University’s research strategy and future initiatives.

The diversity of research projects in the laboratory ranges from human health and disease, exercise science, drug analysis, animal research, fungal pathogen, grain defensome, human lactation, food safety, the nexus of residues/environmental exposure and health.  Dr. Trengove will also discuss the mass spectrometry approaches used in the laboratory to support targeted and untargeted metabolomics aspects of research.
